Grazier’s Daughter

The Ask

Grazier’s Daughter is a Wisconsin-based artisanal cheese company built around a father-daughter farming partnership and a commitment to grass-fed, pasture-grazed dairy and regenerative farming practices.

As they prepared to bring their cheeses to a wider market, they needed a brand and packaging system that could tell that story at a glance. The goal was to create something that felt rooted in the farm and the people behind it, while still being distinctive, polished, and ready to stand out at markets, specialty retailers, and wholesale events.

The Solution

We started by building a visual identity around what makes Grazier’s Daughter different: the relationship between the land, the cows, and the father-daughter team behind the cheese. The logo combines a nostalgic script with a custom farm illustration, giving the brand a handcrafted quality without feeling overly rustic or expected for the category. A warm palette of butter yellow, soft pink, deep berry, and cream makes the brand feel welcoming and memorable while helping it stand apart from more traditional artisan cheese packaging.

That storytelling carries directly into the packaging. I created a custom illustrated farm scene featuring the Grazier’s Daughter herd, Wisconsin landscape, and Joe and Abby themselves. Rather than treating the illustration as decoration, it became the visual thread connecting the entire product line. Each cheese has its own color and personality while still feeling unmistakably part of the same family.

The packaging also brings the brand’s strongest selling points forward through a simple system of icons and messaging, including 100% milk from our farm, regeneratively farmed, and father-daughter owned. The result is a packaging system that gives shoppers more than a cheese name. It quickly communicates where the product comes from, what the family believes in, and why this cheese is worth picking up.

Your product deserves packaging that gets chosen.

If your packaging is getting seen but not picked up, understood, or purchased, it may not be helping customers make buying decisions fast enough. Strategic packaging helps products stand out, make sense instantly, and sell without you there to explain them.
